I've worked and written software in a wide range of industries (Oil, consumer, industrial, avionics, government, security) and wherever I go there seem to be problems with software development... quality, schedule, requirements etc. I will talk about my experiences and things I've learned along the way, most recently in relation to the development and evaluation of high assurance and (supposedly) secure software for government use.
